Blue Ping Pong Nets

While many avowed table tennis fans understand the general rules of the game, very few realize that official ping pong regulations require the use of black, green or blue ping pong nets. This is not a purely aesthetic requirement, of course; regulations state that a white ping pong ball is clearly more visible against a net that is darker in color. But novice and amateur players find that portable table tennis tables are a great option that does not require the user to purchase additional regulation equipment. For the average recreational ping pong enthusiast, the color of the net is not particularly important and any color net is usable. Anyone involved in regulation ping pong matches, however, must stick to blue ping pong nets or those that are of approved colors.
